Kingfisher is the beautiful bird of Bangladesh. The bird small to medium in size and brown-winged, white-colored and black capped in color. There are roughly 90 species of kingfisher are available in the world. Most of them live in old world and Australia. Alcedinidae (River Kingfisher) and Cerylidae (Water Kingfisher) are available in our country. The bird like to hunting and catching fish to eat. Fish is the main food of the kingfisher. They make nest in the river side or pond side by making hole in the soil. The bird is generally shy bird but they like to live in human area.
