Jacanas
The jacanas are a group of tropical waders in the family Jacanidae. They are found worldwide in the Tropics. They are identifiable by their huge feet and claws which enable them to walk on floating vegetation in the shallow lakes that are their preferred habitat. There 8 species worldwide and 2 species which occur in Bangladesh.

Oriental Magpie Robin (Doel)
Oriental Magpie Robin is known in Bangladesh as Doel. Doel is the
national bird of the country. The scientific name of the bird is
Copsychus saularis. The birds very varied in looking. This is small in
size and deep blue black and white in color. They eat small insect. Doel
is the most beautiful bird in the country. They does not fly very high
and make their nest in tree or wall hole. There are 274 species of Doel
in the world and 33 species found in Bangladesh.
